Alison Scoops Paraplanner of the Year Title at Prestigious Industry Awards

Gresham Wealth

Gresham Wealth Management Paraplanner, Alison Lawler, has been awarded the title of Paraplanner of the Year at the Personal Finance Society’s annual awards.

To achieve the title, Alison had to go through a two-stage judging process, which included a written award submission, along with a detailed and technically complex case-study report.

Alison was named the overall UK winner at an exclusive award ceremony in London, which was hosted by broadcaster and presenter, Claudia Winkleman.

Paraplanning is often described as the ‘backbone’ to financial advice; involving the preparation of annual reports for clients, along with making recommendations in response to client requests. As a Paraplanner within Gresham’s technical team, Alison undertakes technical and investment research and provides a holistic paraplanning service to our advisers. Alison’s role also involves being part of the GWM Investment Committee.

Throughout her career at Gresham Wealth Management, Alison has been a valuable member of the team. It is Alison’s meticulous attention to detail, along with her ability to convey complex financial concepts clearly and concisely, which have consistently impressed clients and colleagues alike. She is a highly skilled and experienced Chartered Paraplanner who exemplifies dedication to her job.

Alison commented:

“Just to be shortlisted for this award was fantastic, and to learn that over 100 Paraplanners had submitted an entry, I was thrilled just to be one of four UK-wide finalists. To then go on to win the award is the highlight of my career to date!

“I feel very grateful and humbled. My colleagues have been hugely supportive and whilst this is a personal achievement, I couldn’t have done it without Gresham’s directors and all of the team.”

Morven Millar, Director, commented:

“We are absolutely thrilled for Alison. To be recognised as the UK’s leading Paraplanner is a huge achievement and one that is thoroughly well-deserved.

“She has grown so much throughout her career and this award reflects her continuous efforts to provide clients with the highest standard of financial planning services.”

I am only in this position because of you. One of the best decisions I have ever taken going with GWM.

With great thanks for all your reassuring attention over the last year. It means more to me than I can express in a few words.

I just want to thank you and your team so very much for all you do for me throughout the year. It is a real comfort to know that my investments are in such capable hands. I literally couldn’t do it on my own.

We are both very grateful for the time you spent with us in explaining various options. We certainly feel we now both have a much better understanding of our situation & the decisions which we need to consider moving forward.

Thanks again for your advice, you have given me the kick I needed to take control and I’m very grateful for that.

We feel we can phone at any time during office hours if we need anything clarifying. Our financial adviser knows our personal circumstances and is in tune with our goals and lifestyle. His advice has been and continues to be excellent.

You’ve solved that dilemma for me… Thank you for being so clear and honest as always.

A very personalised service… All advice is tailored to my needs with great consideration to issues I may not have thought of myself. I feel confident about my future finances.

Thank you so much again for your time and brilliant advice.

Just a big thank you for all you have done for our family. We do appreciate it.
